From Russia with Love

Hi everyone! I’m Anna, living in Russia, Izhevsk. I met Renee in 2014 when she came to my city for interviewing me as Work and Travel USA participant. At that time I couldn’t imagine I will have friendship with her. I didn’t take any special English classes with Renee but we became good and close friends and we always stay in touch with each other for already 5 years. I always enjoy our conversations, we text in Messenger or talk via What’sApp. It also helps me to get better in English. Besides that Renee has huge teaching experience she has great personality. I can say for certain that she’s very responsive, considerate and positive person. You can trust her. I’m thankful for all her help for me when I was in the States and I’m grateful for all time spending together. Hope we will able to meet soon again!
I’ve attached the pic of me,Renee and our friend Vera Marie on Niagara Falls. We had lot’s of fun there.

Renee as a host mom and ESL tutor

I have known Renee for 21 years already. It happened when I came to US as an exchange student in 1998, and was lucky to have Renee as my host mother. Since then I call her my American Mom ๐Ÿ™‚ I remember arriving and She took me to enroll in school and they were not sure about registering me as my English seemed limited but Renee insisted so they registered me and with her patience and tutoring me I excelled. In fact I made the honor roll. I studied hard while living in her home with her family, and became accepted as a part of them.

Renee has a great personality, I canโ€™t thank her enough for being such a good substitute for mother to me while my time in America. I felt that she was a family to me. She approached me with kindness and understanding. I always felt her support, in every aspect of my life in the US. She was always happy to help me with my studies, despite that she had two little kids and she was a hard working single mom back then. With her strong will, love to education and her high values she became a role model for me. Back then, when I was 15 year old girl, I decided that in future I would become a woman like her. Thanks to Renee as a host mom I only have bright memories of my times spent in the US.
