Fun facts for Estonia

by Renee Asenguah

Do you think of Estonia when you think of Europe? For many this Baltic country doesn’t come to mine as quickly as other EU countries do. Here are some fun facts why it should-

As much of the world is trying to master the technology side of their education system Estonia has been doing so for many years. 99% of the country is digital. Not only is this helpful for students who start learning at 4 years old and are prepared for the digital global world early on it also leaves an excellent foot print on the environment with their vast reduction of text books.

Low cost education for international students. Courses in English.

Internet is EVERYWHERE… imagine being at the beach or on a trek through the woods and having wifi easily accessible.

Estonia is home to many global companies such as Skype, Hotmail, Transferwise, and many others.

Old Town Tallinn is part of the Unesco World Heritage

Very affordable

Endless sun in the summer and northern lights in the winter.

English is the global language in Estonia and the locals are happy to chat with you in English however, a few kind words such as Tere (Hello)  Palun (please) Aitah (Thank you) vabandage (Excuse me, pardon me)  Vabandust (sorry) head aega or Nagemist (good bye, have a good time)  would be pleasant to hear and would be very welcoming.

As we stay safe and travel virtually please consider Estonia for your future travel or study destination. Ask me how to make this happen.

Terviseks (cheers)
