The Other Side of India’s Party-Capital
Goa is known for its beaches, and wild parties. Tourists from all over visit here because of its charming vibe. However, let’s avoid the clichés and explore the inconspicuous things of the state here. A true locals experience.
Bathing with elephants
‘Lions might be the king of the jungle but elephants are the one who rule it’ and what if I tell you that you can spend some time with these ferocious yet friendly tuskers. Ponda is one of the few places where you can get so close to these majestic beasts. You can scrub the elephants or sit on their back while they splash water on you.
Old Goa
Travel like a local in this city and immerse yourself in the compelling cultural heritage of Goa. The city’s architecture takes us back to the 16th century when the Portuguese invaded and persecuted minorities. The 450 years long rule had ahuge influence on Goa’s cuisine and culture.
Beautiful Spice plantation:
The stroll in the spice plantation will lead you to vanilla, black pepper, clove, cardamom, and coffee are a few common plantations here. Overall, a walk amidst blooming unscathed nature feels very surreal.
What to Expect as an international guest?
The biggest issue that tourists face in a foreign country is the language barrier. However, this is not the case in India. As English is a global language, most people understand and speak it in this country. Also, the locals here are very friendly and generous towards the tourists. And, if you are a foodie and love seafood, Goa surely has some delectable delicacies for you!
